RON
BRONSON

Ron Bronson is a service designer who works across complex organizations to untangle siloed delivery, slow decision-making, and system-wide fragmentation.

His work focuses on early-stage programs, public service transformation, and agile digital modernization. He has spent two decades advising agencies including the Federal Trade Commission, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and the U.S. Forest Service, as well as working with state & local governments. Previously, as Head of Design at 18F, he led the federal government's largest in-house human-centered design team.

Ron is an incoming Assistant Professor of Practice in Urban Technology at the University of Michigan Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning. He speaks internationally on service design, AI ethics, and tech's rapid influence on the erosion of civic life. He co-founded Portland Design Month, organized Design for the Public 24, and served as Board President of AIGA Portland.

He semi-regularly writes updates on his now-ish page.
